Join us as Â鶹ֱ²¥ honors Juneteenth, a day that marks the freedom of enslaved African Americans and celebrates resilience, culture, and community.
This is a time to educate, serve, and celebrate bringing people together to reflect, connect, and move forward together.
We invite you to be part of this meaningful celebration.
Â鶹ֱ²¥ is honored to welcome Dr. Paul Frazier, Vice Chancellor for Anti-Racism, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Southern Illinois University, as a featured speaker for the 4th Annual Juneteenth Celebration.
Dr. Frazier is a nationally respected educator, administrator, and community leader with more than 24 years of experience in public education and higher education. Throughout his distinguished career, he has served as a teacher, coach, school administrator, faculty member, chief diversity officer, and advocate for educational opportunity and community engagement.
A proud leader both on campus and in the community, Dr. Frazier currently serves as President of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. – Mu Kappa Lambda Chapter in Southern Illinois and is actively involved with numerous organizations dedicated to advancing education, health, youth development, and civic engagement throughout Southern Illinois.
His work focuses on fostering inclusive excellence, building stronger communities, and creating opportunities for all individuals to thrive. As we gather to commemorate Juneteenth and reflect on the theme “Educate. Serve. Celebrate.”, Dr. Frazier’s insights and leadership will help inspire meaningful dialogue about freedom, progress, and our shared responsibility to build a more equitable future.
We are honored to have Dr. Frazier join us as we celebrate the history, resilience, and contributions of African Americans while looking ahead to the work still before us.
