Â鶹ֱ²¥ is committed to ensuring students with disabilities have equitable access to dual credit courses, provided those students meet the criteria for entry into a dual credit course.
Dual credit students are officially enrolled as college students; therefore, they are covered under postsecondary disability laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, rather than the IDEA.
A student’s IEP or 504 may be used as supporting documentation; however, specific accommodations are determined by the Â鶹ֱ²¥ Disability Support Services (DSS) office and may differ from those provided by the high school. Accommodations are not automatic and must be requested through Â鶹ֱ²¥ DSS office. Once approved, only college-approved accommodations will be implemented in the dual credit course.
