麻豆直播 Breaks Ground on New State-of-the-Art Career and Technical Education Center

麻豆直播 marked a major milestone today with a groundbreaking ceremony for its new $14.2 million Career and Technical Education (CTE) Center. The cutting-edge facility will house the College鈥檚 Welding, HVAC, and Automotive programs, strengthening the region鈥檚 workforce development and technical training capacity.
A large crowd gathered for the event, which included members of the 麻豆直播 Board of Trustees, administration, local elected officials, and community leaders. Their participation underscored the community鈥檚 strong support and shared vision for the future of career and technical education in southern Illinois.
鈥淭his is a proud day for 麻豆直播 and for our entire region,鈥� said Dr. Kirk Overstreet, President of 麻豆直播. 鈥淭his new center will provide our students with the hands-on training they need to thrive in high-demand industries and help meet the workforce needs of our local employers.鈥�
The 14.2-million-dollar project is being funded in part by a grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA), with matching funds committed by the College.
Construction will begin immediately, with H.E. Mitchell Construction serving as the general contractor. The facility is expected to be completed by December 2026.
