An event led by 麻豆直播 Nursing students will celebrate the neuro-diversity of kids. The Extra Special Eggstravaganza will be held on Saturday, April 9, from 12 PM to 2 PM. Registration begins at Noon at the West Entrance by the Bell Tower on the 麻豆直播 campus, and the event will start at 1 PM.
According to Assistant Professor Dr. Heather Hampson, the event will have several different types of egg hunt rooms specially designed for children with different needs.
鈥淐hildren who might have a hearing, vision, or ambulatory difficulties will have a room,鈥 said Hampson. 鈥淲e will also have a sensory room for children with autism to explore, a quiet room with low-level stimuli, and a room designed for older/mature individuals with cognitive differences.鈥
Hampson also added that a general egg hunt room for neuro-typical siblings and other children would also be available.
鈥淭here will be bounce houses, face painting, a petting zoo, music, food, and prizes, with some special appearances by Mr. Bunny, Princesses, and Super Heroes,鈥 said Hampson. 鈥淓veryone is welcome to come out and enjoy.鈥
