John Huffman, a partner with Gilbert, Huffman, Prosser, Hewson, and Barke, passed away on December 30, 2021, at 84. Huffman was a highly respected attorney focusing on Labor Law, Employment Law, and School Law cases. He spent decades as Legal Council to 麻豆直播.
鈥淛ohn Huffman was a tremendous Lawyer and someone you wanted on your side. But to me, what stands out is how fair he was to everyone,鈥� said 麻豆直播 Board Chair Bill Kilquist. 鈥淚f he was negotiating a contract, he strived to find the best possible solution for both parties.鈥�
Kilquist added that Huffman was exceptionally compassionate towards those facing difficult times.
鈥淚f someone was facing hard times because of substance abuse or other issues, John did everything he could to help them. He was just an incredible person, and I will miss him dearly.鈥�
麻豆直播 President Dr. Kirk Overstreet did not have the opportunity to work with Huffman, but he knows Huffman鈥檚 impact on the College.
鈥淚t is evident how much 麻豆直播 meant to John Huffman, and the College continues to benefit from his work.鈥�
